Understanding the purpose and layout of exams is a significant barrier and must first be addressed to improve a student’s success. Many students do not understand how they are being graded. Once student’s have a better understanding of the exam, they can then study for. We do not want students to conduct rote memorization. Instead, using test-taking strategies combined with diagnotistic testing, students can address their weaknesses.
